The Fraser Residence by Christopher Simmonds Architects

The Fraser Residence, which is located in Ottawa, Ontario, is designed by Christopher Simmonds Architects . The modern house offers strong linear lines on the exterior as well as the interior by choosing the perfect floor plan and materials. The exterior of the house composes of subtle earth-toned brick, stained cedar siding and dark bronze aluminum glazing systems to form the neutral palette of color. Dark oak floors and cabinetry are contrasted to the white surfaces of the gallery-like interior to add the characteristic of the house. There are juxtaposed volumes in exterior of the contemporary house, while the interior of the house features interweaving special volumes.

House Carqueija in Camaçari, Brazil, by Bento+Azevedo Architects

There is a clean and simple house in Camaçari, Brazil. The House Carqueija is designed by Bento+Azevedo Architects . The house design is contemporary design, using a rectangular form. White is dominant color in the house design to give a modern and clean feeling. There are no unused spaces in the house design to emphasize the outside life and to provide functional and comfortable living spaces. The modern house uses a simple and efficient plan. There are two rooms, a chapel and a large social area, which unity the living, dining and TV room in open space. They are linked by a porch to the outside area. The simple house has a strong relationship with surrounding environment, by floating the house on the spot to create two different levels.
