The house located in forestall resort area near the ocean in the Izu peninsula area, Japan, was completed by Shinya Miura. Called Izukougen House, the Japanese house is built for a couple. The main features of the house design are three courtyards, which is hidden inside to give a sense of openness. The house has glass walls, which surround each courtyard to allow the natural light, enter to the rooms. The structure of the house uses timber structure.

Here is the modern residence with a magnificent view. The modern residence by Cunningham Architects is located in Wimberley, Texas. The house design uses local building materials and sustainable building techniques. As its function, the form of the building is an L form, where the bedroom is separated from the public areas, like kitchen/living/dining room. The building features two boxes, which are different materials, such as one of glass and other of stained cement fiberboard to indicate its function. There is the roof deck for family gathering while enjoying magnificent scenery and as a rain water harvesting surface for the on-site collection system.
