The Office Building Design for Moroso Headquarters

The Office Building Design for Moroso Headquarters

The Moroso Headquarters is an office building project which was designed by David Adjaye on the northern outskirts of Udine, Italy. These new office buildings will be built close to the current production building and as the local guidelines regulated, the buildings are 20m setback from the main road. The site is surrounded by the low-rise commercial and industrial buildings along the main road and one- to three-storey residential buildings further inland.

The Office Building Design for Moroso Headquarters

The design concept is an effort to respond the site, the client’s desire and the philosophy of Moroso and mix them into one harmony architectural building. Like a small village eith some houses that sit on a communal base is the best description for this project. The base is proposed for the public area and accommodates showroom and presentation room. Above the base, there are the office spaces. The top floor is for a lounge / library / cafeteria and a large roof terrace. The building consists of three blocks with careful arrangement of the volumes, cores, and cantilevers as the respond to the climate.
