The Interlace consists of thirty-one apartment blocks. Each block has six floors and the length is identical. These blocks are stacked in a hexagonal arrangement around eight large-scale open and permeable courtyards. This contemporary residential building is located on an eight-hectare site in the verdant Southern Ridges. The site area is 81,000 m2 for these programs: 1,040 residences at 144,000m2; residential clubhouse / amenities 1,500m2; retail 500m2; ancillary / cores / MEP 24,000m2; basement parking 2,600 spaces. Total built floor area is 170,000m2. The height of residential block is 83m with 24 upper floors and one basement with the dimension 16,5 x 70m. OMA Architects have designed this high rise building considering the sustainability features through the deep analysis of sun, wind, and micro-climate conditions and the integration of low-impact passive energy strategies.
