This bridge was designed for pedestrians to across the Thames River and it has created a new way to Southwark and encouraged new life on the embankment alongside St Pauls. This stunning bridge design has 320 meters long and it is a very shallow suspension bridge with two Y-shaped armatures. Those bases support eight cables that run along the sides of the 4-meter-wide deck, while steel transverse arms clamp onto the cables at 8-meter intervals to support the deck itself. This Millennium Bridge was born from the collaboration of engineering, art and architecture which is beautifully designed by Foster&Partners.
