Aquatic Centre for London 2012 Games by Zaha Hadid

Zaha Hadid has known as a woman architect which is concern in deconstructive style of architecture. Now, one of her project has been running in under-construction. The project named as Aquatic Centre to challenge the Olympic Park for the London 2012 Games. This building has 160m long waved shaped roof frame which has just been lifted and lowered into place. The gigantic steel trusses have over 3,000 tons supported by three concrete. It created an open space for large racing and diving pools. In order to respond to the effects of snow, wind and changing temperatures, the roof is designed to stretch, twist and contract. This aquatic centre scheduled to be finished in the summer 2011.
