Nexus World Housing in Fukuoka, Japan

This is a 244 unit housing property, built in 1991 in the Kashi District of Fukuoka, Japan. This building consists of three stories high form two blocks. Each house in this high rise building has a private courtyard to let the light come into the center. The major material used for this Nexus Housing are black concrete wall in textured casting, zinc alloy roof, aluminum windows with various kinds of glass. The building has the roofs of the domed Japanese cells that are covered with grass. this building is one of OMA‘s project.
