This housing design is a highly rational and logical approach for a prototype living space for people clustered in the city. Located in the center of Osaka, Japan, this Glashaus faces Utsubo Park, an oasis of nature in the heart of the city. Designed by Waro Kishi and K. Associates, this housing complex has double-skin structure consisting of glass louvers and sliding sashes that covers the facade of the building on the park side. This high rise building also has another important feature that is dividing the standard units on the intermediate floors from the penthouse units; the architects attempted to imbue each space with its own distinct character.
