This mega-project in Dubai, Uni Arab Emirat is palm tree-shaped resort island developed on land reclaimed from the sea. This luxurious project will add 120 km of sandy beaches to the UAE and be visible from the moon. This wonderful resort island will accommodate 2,000 villas, up to 40 luxury hotels, shopping complexes, cinemas and the Middle East’s first marine park.
The 12 km of protective barrier reefs surrounded the Dubai Palm Island which is built in the shape of 17 huge fronds. There are two marinas to access the island by boat. These islands also can be accessed by 300m bridges from the mainland, while the main causeway will have a monorail system. To build this Dubai island project, 80m cubic meters of land have to dredge from the approach channel to the emirate’s Jebel Ali port. This action has the consequence that the channel has to deep into 17m.
